Iowa City, IA (June 4, 2026) — We are excited to welcome David DeMik, MD, PharmD, to the Steindler team! Dr. DeMik is a fellowship-trained surgeon specialized in hip and knee joint replacement and revision, including anterior approach hip replacement. He spent some time in Iowa City, receiving his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Iowa, his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, and his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Iowa. Dr. DeMik then completed a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at the Rothman Orthopaedic Institute at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He also completed the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons Health Policy Fellowship. When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. DeMik enjoys spending time with his wife and son, cycling, weightlifting, hot yoga, hiking, Hawkeye sports, and barbecue.
